Live With Music

The beauty of music and the joy of singing is what brings us together. As a chorus group of women singers, we hail from New York City. With our group called ‘Spirit of the lakes’, we often perform for the Church and on special occasions. We are also active participants in various events, where we have won many awards and much love.

Love Music

Linda, Beth, Selena and Diana are the heart and soul of ‘Spirit of the lake chorus’. These four are the reason behind the group growing and spreading its wings in a span of five years. Over this time, they have added to its list, more women who love music. A large part of the credit for who we are also goes to supportive friends and family who are both wonderful audience and constructive critics. Having started as a cappella singers, today the group does much more.

Our mission

To spread the sound of music, and touch the hearts of millions across the world. To provide training, support and mentorship in learning music. To bring together talent from across the country and give chorus singing a common platform.

Our vision

To train more women singers in chorus singing, so more people can discover the joy of music.

Our values

There are certain core values that help our group perform better. The values that define work ethic at the ‘Spirit of the lakes chorus’ are as under:

1. We support diversity in the chorus group. Women from across age groups, race and community are allowed to be a part of our group. Their level of excellence in music and physical or mental capabilities are not considered as barriers. In fact, our members also include those with special abilities.
2. We believe in positivity and lifting each other up. Our group is a supportive forum, and women are encouraged to move away from our group, take leadership roles and start chorus groups on their own as well.
3. Innovation and creativity are key to the work we do. Our music constantly seeks to adapt new styles and form, yet keeping the soul alive.
4. We are easily accessible and reachable at any point of time. We do not believe in hierarchy, and all members are treated equally, as members of a large family. We also provide easy access to all our material and music, as we believe in spreading joy, love and light.
5. We are not perfect, and call ourselves to be learners through life. We constantly strive at bettering and improving ourselves.
